Steve graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors Degree in Technology and Engineering Education. Steve continued his education through Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design and received a Masters Degree in Leadership and Emerging Technologies. Ever since high school, Steve has been very interested in working with his hands. He has gained a lot of skills and knowledge throughout the years working at an automotive shop, being an electrician, and now currently a secondary education teacher. Steve has taught many Career and Technical Education classes in the State of Utah. Some of these classes include College and Career Awareness, Exploring Technology, Manufacturing, and Digital Design. Like a lot of people, Steve uses outdoor power equipment such as lawn mowers, edgers, tillers, and pressure washers which all have small engines that make them run. Small engines need maintenance and repair periodically and Steve thought that it would be great idea to help others understand how they work. Since Steve does not have the opportunity to teach a Small Engines class where he is currently teaching, he opted to teach this course here on EdRoute.
